MEMBERSHIP

 

Membership is open to organisations with an ethnic or multicultural focus, organisations with an interest in these areas, or individuals who support the Multicultural Council’s objectives.
The rules of membership are outlined in the Multicultural Council of Tasmania (Inc) Constitution. A hard copy may be obtained from the Office.

Membership Associations


Any organisation whose primary object is either of an ethnic or multicultural focus and whose aims and activities are not inconsistent with Multicultural Council of Tasmania’s objectives may become a member, provided that such an organisation is duly admitted to membership in accordance with the provisions of the MCOT constitution.

Member Associations are entitled to a maximum of three delegates.

Regional Association Members:
Any association with similar aims to MCoT and an interest in ethnic or multicultural issues (but this not being their primary focus) and whose aims and activities are similar to those of the Multicultural Council of Tasmania. Regional association members do not have voting rights at MCoT.

Individual Members: Individuals may be admitted to membership in accordance with the provisions of the constitution.
You and your organisation may join MCoT in one of the following ways:

by sending an email to mcot@tassie.net.au asking for an application form to be posted to you.

by visiting the MCoT office at 49 Molle Street, Hobart.

The 2006 Membership fees are: Individuals- $10:00 Organisations-$30:00
